They were able to expose several dirty tricks employed by the Nixon re-election committee. They also wrote a book about the scandal titled “All the President’s Men,” which in turn was adapted into a 1976 film of the same title.

Both the movie and the book brought them much acclaim and recognition. In 1996, Bob Woodward and Brian Duffy published a story in which they stated a United States Department of Justice investigation into the fund-raising activities had revealed that Chinese agents sought to direct contributions from foreign sources to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) before the 1996 presidential campaign.

He has also written four books that are focused on former American President George W. Bush’s presidency. These books are “Bush at War” (2002), “Plan of Attack” (2004), “The State of Denial” (2006), and “The War Within: A Secret White House History.”

He wrote a column in The Washington Post on the 22nd of February 2013 in which he criticized former American President Barack Obama’s administration for their statements in 2012 and 2013 that the United States federal budget sequester had been proposed by Republicans in Congress. Bob Woodward has written the book “Wired” which was based on Hollywood drug culture and the death of popular American actor and comedian, John Belushi.  Bob Woodward currently serves as the associate editor for The Washington Post.
