Let's take a look at how to get all of the Duality Dungeon armor and weapons in Destiny 2.

The Duality Dungeon in Destiny 2 is a great, short experience. It takes the Nightmare concept initially introduced in Shadowkeep and adds layers to its significance in both the lore and gameplay. This Dungeon is all about diving into the consciousness of Leviathan's spirit in Calus, who had just gotten into cahoots with the Witness.

While the lore implications were absolutely worthwhile at the time, this Dungeon's armor and weapon offering are what keep players coming whenever it becomes the Weekly Featured Dungeon. Duality has some decent weapon choices, with two reprised Menagerie weapons, The Epicurean and Fixed Odds, being craftable. Whether you're looking to craft or grab some rolls on the Dungeon's original weapons, we've broken down where to get all the weapons and armor in the Duality Dungeon.

Destiny 2 Duality Dungeon Overview

The Duality Dungeon offers seven weapons in total: two reprised Menagerie weapons, four Nightmare-themed weapons that are original to the Dungeon itself, and of course, a brand new Dungeon Exotic in the Heartshadow Void Sword. This Exotic Sword is built with Nightstalker Hunters in mind, but can be a great addition to any Void build! Heavy attacks with this sword turn the player invisible and fire off exploding Void projectiles. Remaining invisible grants this weapon increased damage. Hitting a target with this weapon’s projectiles while invisible weakens them. Needless to say, it's worth a grind session or two.

While this Dungeon's armor set looks more like something out of a Mars Lander mission, it does offer some increased value when running the dungeon on Master difficulty, as all armor drops become Artific Armor, offering an extra mod slot that will grant +3 points to the stat of your choosing.

Nightmare of Gahlran Encounter Loot

This first boss fight is an absolute blast, but it will never be nearly as farmable as it was when you could get Gahlran to run off the map. That said, you can still farm for chances at The Epicurean or the Lingering Dread, both are great weapons to add to your arsenal!

Unlock the Vault Encounter Loot

This encounter really dials up the challenge involved with navigating the Nightmare realm, but once you've gotten all of the symbols memorized, it's a piece of cake. Keep an eye out for the Nightmare realm's version of the areas as they contain hints as to which zone you've found yourself in! Here, you can roll the dice at a chance for the Arc Linear Fusion Rifle, Stormchaser!

Nightmare of Caiatl Encounter Loot

You've made it to the Caiatl fight, Guardian! This is the only encounter that can drop the Heartshadow Exotic Sword, but there are Triumphs you can complete to give you a better drop chance. Take your time in here and focus up. A single silly mistake can make this encounter infinitely more frustrating than it needs to be. Once you get into a rhythm, this can be a super fun boss fight!

Bonus: Duality Dungeon Secret Hidden Chests

Duality, like most of the Raids and Dungeons in Destiny 2, has a few hidden chests for players to find while they dive into Calus' Nightmares. These chests will not reward new loot but do offer drop chances and more roll opportunities for the weapons and armor you've already acquired.

The first chest is hidden in the large rotunda room where you have to rotate the status of Gahlran. Before jumping down to solve the puzzle, look around the room to find another platform with a door slightly cracked open. Here, you'll find a single chest that can be opened among many sealed chests. Note that if you jump down, you may still be able to reach the chest, but it will almost certainly require a Movement stat boost and some clever platforming.

The second is found after the second encounter, shortly after completing the jumping puzzle in a large room where you'll work your way down onto more of the shiny purple floor. In the center of this room is a massive box covered in a white sheet. Make your way down and under this box to find the second secret chest as well as one of the many Repressed Memory collectibles!

That's it! That's everything you need to know about collecting all of the loot in the Duality Dungeon! For more on Destiny 2 and the most recent Dungeon, Ghosts of the Deep, make sure you check out the Destiny 2 Hub
