Robert Rivera of Wahiawa, Oahu passed away at Maui Memorial Medical Center on October 11, 2015. He was born on November 8, 1938 in Waipahu. Attended Kipapa Elementary and Leilehua High. He worked for the Civil Service on Schofield Barracks Hawaii Garrison as Work Leader in the Plumbing Shop.

On Dec. 6, 1957, Robert married the love of his life, Charlotte Momi (Keohokapu) Rivera. Together they had 7 loving children. Affectionately aka “Bobby”, he was a great cook and fisherman, a loving father, and a genuine friend to many people throughout his life. He spent the first part of his life in Wahiawa, Oahu. His mid years in Kohala, Hawai’i Island. And most of his later years in Kihei, Maui.

Mr. Rivera was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Charlotte Momi Rivera (Keohokapu), and his brother, Richard Rivera.

Services honoring Mr. Rivera will be held on Friday, October 30 at Nakamura Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 5:00pm with services beginning at 6:00pm.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his 7 children; Robert Keohokapu, Theresa Temblor, Meleana Manuel, Punahele Rivera, Tracey Davis, Maka Rivera, & Ululani Duncan; 5 brothers, Raymond, Rickey, Nicholas Jr., George, and Bernard; 3 sisters, Lorraine, Shirley & Brenda; 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and their families, many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
