Destiny 2 has had its fair share of powerful exotic weapons that continues to be part of the current meta. Of all those weapons, one that arguably stands out both for PvP and PvE activities is the Dead Man's Tale.
Dead Man's Tale is an incredibly powerful (and stylish) Exotic Scout Rifle in Destiny 2. Since Season of Risen, Xur has been selling a random roll of Dead Man's Tale every week, making it easier for new and veteran players to acquire this weapon.
However, not every week Xur has the perfect roll of Dead Man's Tale in his arsenal. To help you out, here's our guide detailing the PvP and PvE god roll of Dead Man's Tale in Destiny 2.
Update on 31st October: This article has been updated with the latest information about getting that Dead Man's Tale god roll.
Destiny 2 Dead Man's Tale PvP god roll
- Barrel - Hammer-Forged Rifling (Range +10)
- Magazine - High-Calibre Rounds (Shots from this weapon knock the target back farther. Range +5)
- First Perk - Vorpal Weapon (Increased damage against bosses, vehicles, and Guardians with Super active.)
- Second Perk - Fitted Stock (Stability +10, Recoil +11, Handling -5)
- Masterwork - Handling (+10)
- Origin Trait - Cranial Spike (Chaining precision hits grants bonus damage and quickens reload speed.)
Destiny 2 Dead Man's Tale PvE god roll
- Barrel - Corkscrew Rifling(Range +5, Stability +5, Handling +5)
- Magazine - Armor-Piercing Rounds (Rounds causes extra damage to combatants' shields and over-penetrate targets. Range +5)
- First Perk - Outlaw (Precision kills greatly reduce reload time.)
- Second Perk - Short Action Stock (Handling +15)
- Masterwork - Handling (+10)
- Origin Trait - Cranial Spike (Chaining precision hits grants bonus damage and quickens reload speed.)
As mentioned, Xur sells a copy of this incredibly powerful exotic every week. While it works in both cases, we recommend first acquiring a PvP god roll of Dead Man's Tale since you will probably want to use a Scout Rifle in Crucible rather than Vanguard or other PvE activity.
And that's everything you need to know about Dead Man's Tale in Destiny 2.
